Contemporary in manufacture, these buttons use antique styles for their inspiration. The base of this button has been plated in an antique silver, hand painted with enamel, diamanté crystals added, and protected by a transparent, resin coating; slight yellowing adds a warm tinge. The button is pear/tear drop shaped and reminiscent of a peacock feather detail; deep marbled brown enamel detail is off centre with two rows of circle details, one row including 4 diamanté crystals. Just beautiful.
