A modern take on the triskelion or triple spiral motif. This symbol was first found in the Neolithic period, and has been in use ever since in various forms - you may be familiar with the three legs or triskelès. Its meaning has challenged symbolists, particularly as it has been used by many different cultures, but some see it as "spirit-mind-body", "past-present-future", or "power-intellect-love".

Although this button is made from metal, it has a fineness about it and is not terribly heavy.

Available matte gold, or matte antiqued silver.

Shank button.

Italy, 1990s.
