Made in the 1950s, this casein plastic button in red has a white rim and slot sew through holes.
 
Sewing tip: To avoid buttons slipping when sewn on, attach as you would a 4 hole sew through; anchor threads at each end of slot (although if you want the adjustment, sew through the middle).
 
As with all vintage buttons, launder in cold to cool wash (30'C and below).
